At age 16, Orlando dropped out of school, which he didn't particularly enjoy... He say, "As a kid I was dyslexic so I always struggled in school. I'm still mildly dyslexic." He then moved to london to kick- start his acting career...He also got a scholarship to at the British American Drama Academy... Then later joined the Guildhall School of Music and Drama to get the proper education that Orlando needed...Orlando's biggest fear is; failure, being eaten by a shark when surfing and not living in the moment...Orli's fave music: he injoys Coldplay,Radiohead,Jack Johnson and Kings of Leon...His fave ice cream is mint chocolate chip...The first thing Orli notices on a girl when just walking around the city is her eyes and smile...Orlando's WORST acting job was when he was four years old, he played a monkey in a monkey suit, and it was soo hot onstage. That he itched his [butt] and the ENTIRE audience laughed at him...

The Importance of Being Elvish
Before last year, Orlando Bloom was basically just another young actor from Canterbury, England, hoping for his big break.
Of course, as any fan of fantasy will tell you, being cast as Legolas Greenleaf in the long-anticipated big-screen version of JRR Tolkien's classic trilogy "The Lord of the Rings" helped.
Before making his appearance in the first of those films, "The Fellowship of the Ring," in 2001, 25-year-old Bloom's biggest-well, technically only-movie credit was a cameo appearance as Rentboy in the 1997 Oscar Wilde biopic "Wilde."
Though he's spent much of the time since then working on the massive, multi-year "Rings" shoot, the third film of the series will be preceded by three other high-profile Bloom appearances in 2003, including the historical crime drama "The Kelly Gang," the boxing comedy "The Calcium Kid," and the Disney adaptation "The Pirates of the Carribean."
Named after the hero of Virginia Woolf's novel "Orlando: A Biography," Bloom began his pursuit of acting at an early age, concentrating much of his energy on stage work before signing on to be a part of "Rings."
"It's hard to know how to handle what could happen in terms of being part of that," he told Oregon newspaper the Willamette Week soon after the first film came out. "I feel privileged, and I feel blessed to be a part of this project. I loved the movie. I've seen it a couple of times now, and I just feel so proud of it. I feel like if I do nothing else, at least I've done "Lord of the Rings."
